We can blu it!

We can blu it!

The strength of a commitment to a sustainable future

piùblu is a young, non-profit environmental association committed since 2021 in safeguarding marine, lake, and river ecosystems, as well as recovering biodiversity.

Starting from activities related to the river Tiber health, Almaviva Group cooperates with piùblu in the fight against pollution, in particular pollution caused by plastics, via means of environmental education-focused activities and events, together with institutions, sports associations, schools, and citizens: a commitment for the environment we all wish it resonates and impacts in a lasting way

As a main partner of th event “We can blu it!” since 2024, Almaviva Group promotes the participation to the events organized by piùblu gathering thousands of volunteers from Turin, Genoa, Florence, Rome, Naples, Bari, and Messina, during the celebration of the World Rivers Day.

In Rome it is Almaviva BLU RACE that concludes the social responsibility event, bringing together all the rowing clubs of the Capital at the Aniene Club, with dozens of crews competing, for the first time made up of women and men from three generations, athletes who row together to support the environment.

Almaviva reaffirms year after year alongside piùblu in these days of collective commitment to defend marine, lake, and river ecosystems from pollution by plastics and microplastics, promote sustainable lifestyles, inform, and raise awareness, particularly among new generations.

"Acting against the pollution of rivers and the sea is crucial and a priority today," commented Almaviva President Alberto Tripi upon the announcement of the first edition of Almaviva BLU RACE; "as a Group, we are committed on multiple fronts for environmental protection and we are proud to launch this race on World Rivers Day, to raise awareness about the urgency of defending marine, lake, and river ecosystems from pollution.

Sports and the environment are a winning alliance. Rowing is an exciting and sustainable sport that is practiced in nature and allows for a unique experience of it. The regular visit to rivers, like the Tiber, encourages every rower, myself included, to be sensitive to the protection of water. Taking action against river and sea pollution today is crucial and a priority."
