In carrying out its business activities, Almaviva is a direct or indirect producer of hazardous and non-hazardous special waste. It has therefore adopted an approach to mitigating and reducing related environmental impacts, the efficient use of technological tools, the reduction of hazardous materials and the monitoring of waste production with particular reference to waste containing toxic polluting substances and difficult to dispose of, paying attention to correct collection and correct disposal at company premises.
The waste management process is regulated by a specific procedure. The Group's efforts and commitments aimed at correct waste management have led, already in 2023, to the achievement of the 2025 target, which involves achieving 100% separate waste collection for the entire Group.

In order to homogeneously and uniformly supervise waste management, Almaviva has a Waste Management Delegate at a Group level, supported by individual employees per site.
Among the various activities, a detailed list of the types of waste produced directly and/or indirectly in the corporate sites of Almaviva Group and/or in the context of the management of services agreed with its customers has been defined. For each type of waste, a specific characterization sheet has been produced which is prepared and periodically updated by the D.G.S.A. (Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser) consultant, in order to identify the level of danger and the specific methods of treatment and transport according to current legislation.
