Let's protect the life of our planet and its waters together. Almaviva invites you to join forces with Piùblu, a young non-profit environmental association dedicated to safeguarding marine, lake, and river ecosystems, as well as protecting biodiversity.

Starting with efforts to improve the health of the Tiber River, Almaviva is supporting Piùblu in combating pollution, particularly plastic pollution, through targeted environmental education initiatives and collective actions.

On occasion of World Rivers Day, Almaviva is the Main Partner of three events:

• ​ Friday, September 20th - Experts and representatives from environmental institutions and associations will gather to discuss strategies and concrete actions for protecting river ecosystems. The conference, moderated by Francesco Gasparri, a journalist for RAI and host of Linea Verde, will feature Stefano Capelli, Head of Sustainability and coordinator of Almaviva’s ESG committee;
• Saturday, September 21st - Workshops will be held at the EXPLORA Children’s Museum in Rome, and in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, for children to learn through play how to protect the environment;
• Sunday, September 22nd - A collective effort to remove plastic waste from waterways in seven Italian cities will take place in Turin, Genoa, Florence, Rome, Naples, Bari, and Messina.

In Rome, the day will conclude with the first edition of the "Almaviva Blu Race", starting at 4:30pm at Circolo Canottieri Aniene, Lungotevere dell'Acqua Acetosa, 119.

This will be the first “Match Race” in which men and women will row together to deliver an important message of environmental support.
