''Digitalization is the key to more efficient and secure management of water networks. We’ve digitalized approximately 26,000 kilometers of the 45,000-kilometer network, identifying over 11,000 leaks and saving an estimated 73 million cubic meters of water,” said Fulvio Conti, Head of Water, Environment, Agriculture & Space at Almaviva, in an interview with Prometeo on Adnkronos, at Ecomondo 2025, currently underway in Rimini. Conti explained that ''thanks to projects like the Smart Water Management System, Almaviva is now working with over 50 water-utility providers across Italy. Water is a critical and essential infrastructure, and we must ensure not only service continuity, but also data security.”
"In recent years," he added, "Almaviva has expanded its value chain thanks to the acquisition of Almaviva Bluebit SpA Società Benefit, which allows us to integrate mathematical and hydraulic modeling, thus improving our ability to prevent leaks and protect this vital resource."
Meetings continue today as well, the final day of Ecomondo 2025. At the Almaviva Group’s booth, which yesterday welcomed a visit from Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, Minister of the Environment and Energy Security, the intense discussion among experts, institutions, and businesses on how digital innovation can accelerate the ecological transition continues. Energy, sustainable mobility, and the circular economy are the main topics of discussion, with a special focus on how technology can enable smarter and more sustainable management of natural resources, for a green, connected, and responsible future.
