“Artificial intelligence is increasingly becoming a central element of our strategy. It’s not standalone, but pervasive: it concerns all the business areas in which we operate as a group, both in terms of solutions and in terms of collaborations, planning, design, and initiative,” Valeria Sandei, newly appointed Director of Global Artificial Intelligence of the Almaviva Group and CEO of Almawave, told Il Sole 24 ORE Radiocor.
“Right now we need and require human capability and high-level profiles focused on the expansion of artificial intelligence.”
The global outlook responds to the needs of a group that is also growing geographically and which gets more than 50% of its revenues from international markets: “It’s increasingly important to have a shared, decisive, and coherent vision with respect to the various fields in which we operate. On the one hand, important investments are being planned in Italy, in collaboration with universities and SMEs; and on the other hand, with the new reorganization, we have the ability to interact and develop an increasingly innovative range of solutions with all our partners, both global and local.”
From an international perspective, “we thus have the ability to operate in all the countries where we’re active, to respond to the different needs that we’re able to grasp in the markets where we’re present.”
“AI is becoming pervasive. We must be the first to grasp it and position it in the most effective way possible. A group like ours, growing and evolving worldwide, competes with major players at both the national and international level and must express 100% of its potential," continued Sandei.
“A key concept for us is continuous and comprehensive training, which involves all the skills in our organization. It’s an element that transforms the company's production processes and the management of the company's operational ones,” she concluded.
