Two Winter Olympic Games, seventy years of history, and a single route through some of the most iconic venues in international sports. This is the vision behind CORTINA 56-26, a new trail-running event conceived by the Cortina Foundation and taking place today.
As an official partner of the Cortina Foundation, Almaviva is supporting the initiative by celebrating the Olympic legacy, showcasing the local area, and promoting the values of sport, sustainability, and digital innovation through the MOOVA Platform.
The route perfectly connects historic Olympic venues through trails, forests, ridgelines, and some of the most distinctive locations of the Ampezzo valley, transforming the area into an immersive sporting experience. Athletes will run through landscapes that have hosted some of the most memorable winter sports competitions, experiencing the mountains from a new perspective that combines nature, history, and sporting culture. Cortina 56-26 is part of a broader vision that aims to preserve and promote the Dolomite’s rich sporting history and outstanding natural patrimony, strengthening the connection between major international events, the local area, and outdoor culture. An initiative that looks to the future, solidifying the bond between people, the region, and major international events, in continuity with the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
