The “MoovA High Altitude Mobility” tour continues, a program of events and initiatives promoted by the Almaviva Group to highlight the value of technology applied to mobility, infrastructure, and local communities, making five stops in Olympic cities and locations during one of the world’s largest international sporting events.
On February 12th, the flagship stop dedicated to Smart Mobility took place in Cortina, featuring innovative solutions in the field of Traffic Management & Control and Mobility Data Sharing Integration, with a focus on mobility centers, control rooms, infomobility, MaaS, and on-demand mobility models and technologies for intelligently managing the flow of traffic in high-altitude areas.
At the heart of the meeting were MoovA Smart Mobility solutions, designed to enable a multimodal and integrated model, capable of connecting public transportation, pedestrian and cycling routes, shared mobility, and C-ITS technologies, with a clear goal: to make mobility an accessible, sustainable, and inclusive right.
A key contribution came from the following partners, who enriched the discussion with complementary experiences and perspectives: Fondazione Cortina, Famas System, Iteris, SAIMA Sicurezza, Curling Club Cortina, and Arzanà.
In his speech, President Longo emphasized the trust placed in the Almaviva Group and in the journey it has undertaken, highlighting how the foundation's commitment extends beyond organizing major sporting events – including World Cup competitions in numerous disciplines – to embrace community-focused projects, initiatives dedicated to young people and schools, athletic activities, and programs intended to engage local areas.
The Cortina event has thus proven to be an important opportunity to share best practices, strengthen synergies between the public and private sectors, and reflect on how technology can support smart, efficient, and sustainable mobility, even in highly complex, high-altitude scenarios.
