New technologies are rapidly changing the entire world of employment, not just the digital sector. When it comes to Information Technology, the training approach must be twofold. On the one hand focusing on technical-specialist content, mainly STEM. And on the other hand, with domain-specific training in the field in which one works, considering that ICT applies to many market sectors, from cultural heritage to transportation to healthcare.”
Marina Irace, Almaviva Group HR Director, in the Industry Academy - Il Sole 24 Ore video interview, with Nicoletta Cottone and Claudio Tucci, discusses Almaviva’s Academy system, which offers 5.0 training courses for recent high school and college graduates, as well as a training and upskilling program for the entire company workforce, including on artificial intelligence.
“For some years now we’ve offered Academies for recent high school and college graduates joining the Group, with different topics, duration, and timing depending on where they are in the company.
Young people passionate about sustainable mobility can, within the company, develop skills and learn about trends in technological innovation applied to the integrated mobility sector, as well as current topics such as the cities of the future, green transportation, and the security of terminal hubs.”
An example is the MOOVA Academy, a blended learning program with different delivery methods and full of cutting-edge content, designed to help participants enter the world of digital transformation.
“We are also planning an Academy aimed at upskilling and reskilling employees already in the company,“ continues Irace. “The program pays particular attention to AI: for each group, we’ve identified the training necessary to understand the opportunities that artificial intelligence offers, giving participants the skills necessary for its optimal use.”
“Since new technologies will simplify work, our courses will also address the seemingly paradoxical issue of seeking complexity, and will include activities that put participants to the test, helping to hone their ability to face challenges.”
