In a heavily evolving sector, AlmavivA solutions offer a world of services and applications specifically tailored to businesses. A further confirmation came from the 5-year 100 million Euro tender awarded to AlmavivA a few months ago by Aria (formerly Lombardia Informatica), the technological arm of Lombardia Informatica. The goal is hybrid multi-cloud, in other words, through multiple cloud service providers and including the private cloud built in the Aria Data Center, the data and applications of Lombardy’s citizens will be hosted on several clouds to ensure maximum reliability and agility. This model adopted by AlmavivA will allow for relying on the best services of market leaders in the cloud sector.

The tender should become a pilot project throughout Italy, in accordance with the National Plan of the Agency for Digital Italy (AGID). “The plan entails setting up a series of national strategic hubs” - explained the CTO, Alberto Giaccone, Head of the AlmavivA Digital Transformation & Infrastructure Department - “that will ultimately manage the entire operation via cloud through national hubs, thus rationalizing the costs and improving the efficiency and efficacy of the services of public administration bodies.”

The Almaviva “just in time” formula, which enables public administration bodies to fully exploit the potential of hybrid cloud, will be presented tomorrow morning in the context of the Round Table promoted by Soiel in Milan. For Giaccone this will be an opportunity to analyze in-depth the AlmavivA offer model with regard to security, privacy and data protection, performance, interoperability and portability.
