During the "Digital for Growth" event, supported by the Almaviva Group, the new data from the "Digital in Italy 2026" report, produced by Anitec-Assinform in collaboration with NetConsulting cube, was presented to the Chamber of Deputies. The data confirms the sector's solid growth and the increasingly strategic role of digital technologies for the country.
€84.4 billion, +3.4%: the market continues to expand, with different dynamics across segments, driven by the development of high-value solutions such as AI, the cloud, and cybersecurity.
The 2029 outlook highlights a push toward a "digital first" model, in which the structural integration of data, AI, and security will drive the transformation of production models and services.
However, the post-NRRP challenge remains central: with the push from European funding coming to an end at the end of June, the country urgently needs to establish a real industrial plan. It is no longer enough to simply adopt technological innovation; it must be properly governed. Supporting those who invest in technologies and skills is no longer an expense to be contained, but an essential strategic lever for Italy's competitiveness.
