With the statewide expansion of ClearGuide Signal Trends, it will be possible to identify issues and optimize traffic management operations at more than 1,100 intersections across Alabama.

Developed by Iteris, ClearGuide Signal Trends is a cloud-based performance analytics tool that uses probe data to help agencies quickly identify issues and efficiently improve operations at signalized intersections without requiring additional field equipment or infrastructure.

The analytics service, now extended to all five regions of Alabama, will be supported by traffic data from HERE Technologies. The U.S. Department of Transportation, with the support of Iteris, will now be able to use shared information to proactively improve traffic signal timing and facilitate traffic flow by rapidly detecting and diagnosing congestion, delays, and abnormal patterns, thus managing mobility in a consistent way for all users of urban and rural networks.
