The “Code Rebirth” 2024 Hackathon awards ceremony, promoted by ReActive in partnership with the Unipol Group and organized with Codemotion, took place at the CUBO - the Unipol Group’s Corporate Museum.
The winner was the CodeEvolver project.
Out of the seven competing teams, the following four made it to the final round and attended the event:
Despite the limitations inherent in any innovative project, the proposed solution demonstrated an intelligent and targeted integration of AI. The native transformation of legacy code performed successfully during real code tests and structured documentation of the newly generated code was produced.
Ease of use, functional efficiency, and a focus on performance – such as reduced processing times – make CodeEvolver a versatile and scalable solution. The project, as a whole, is complete and worthy of the win”. This was the rationale behind the award.
Giulia Zamagni (Head of CUBO, the Unipol Group’s Corporate Museum), Piero Rossini (CEO of ReActive), and Chiara Russo (Co-founder & Executive President of Codemotion) kicked off the event.
Speakers included: Andrea Bei, Head of Digital Services at ReActive, with a speech entitled "Legacy Evolution: the Opportunities of GenAI"; and Luigi Zanardi, Head of Omnichannel Automation & IT Architecture for the Unipol Group, with a speech entitled “Generative Coding Platforms: From Musician to Conductor”.
The work of the finalist teams was presented by Domenico Melisi, Head of Innovation & Productivity and Digital Services at ReActive; Arnaldo Morena, Dev Talent Partner at Codemotion; and Giovanni Fusco, Head of Digital Factory at ReActive.
Piero Rossini and Luigi Zanardi presented the award to Chenghao Xia, who accepted it on behalf of the winning team.
Congratulations to the members of TEAM 5 and all the other participating teams!
