“’Made in Italy’ represents a vast heritage of values, knowledge, competitiveness, and innovation recognized worldwide. A competitive advantage that only we Italians possess and which, today more than ever, encourages us to have confidence in and awareness of our capabilities. Because in Italy, ‘knowing how to do and think’ isn’t only the sum of what we produce, but reflects our ability to innovate and drive change.” These were the words of Alberto Tripi, President of Almaviva Group, speaking at the “Made in Italy Day - Skills: the Engine of Innovation and National Identity” event, which brought together institutions, entrepreneurs, and C-level executives to discuss the trends that are redefining the country’s future.
Almaviva was selected as one of the premier and leading companies in the third edition of the book “Storie di Successo, L’Italia dell’ingegno e dell’eccellenza nel mondo”, presented during an event which took place at the Auditorium della Tecnica in Rome, organized by the Made in Italy Community and accredited by the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy as part of the celebrations held in honor of National “Made in Italy” Day.
The book tells the story of companies that have transformed Italian skills, innovation, and identity into global value, presenting 30 entrepreneurial narratives that represent some of the most dynamic realities of the contemporary Made in Italy sector. Companies operating across various sectors - from industry to technology, from design to manufacturing, from hospitality to food - but united by the ability to combine tradition, innovation, and an international outlook. A mosaic of quality and expertise that is a testament to the vitality of Italian entrepreneurship and the ability of Made in Italy to evolve over time, celebrating skills, production chains, and national identity.
“The entire world recognizes the leading role that Italian technological innovation plays,” said President Tripi. “Our digital talent makes us global, not as an exception but as a structural component of our country's competitiveness. The Made in Italy Tech industry has its own distinctive identity: it does not replicate external models, but offers its own. In a constantly changing world, Italian ingenuity and creativity will help us rise to the challenges of the present and the future. Among these, quantum computing, for example, is a field in which Italy has something to teach the rest of world, because we Italians are masters of creativity and innovation.”
