10-03-2026

Find out more about Start Cup Lazio, the competition that rewards the most innovative business projects developed in the region’s universities and research centers, supporting teams of students and researchers in the creation and launch of high-tech and knowledge-intensive start-ups/spin-offs. The Almaviva Group renews its support for the initiative, sharing the goal of promoting the economic and social development of Lazio and Italy by leveraging scientific research.

SCL is organized within the framework of the National Innovation Award, Italy’s largest and most widespread Business Plan Competition. Each year it selects the best innovative start-up projects across four areas of innovation: “Cleantech & Energy”, “Life Sciences-MedTech”, “ICT”, and “Industrial”.

The PNI is promoted by PNICube, the National Network of University Incubators and Start Cup Competitions, which currently brings together 61 members, including universities, academic incubators, and other organizations promoting innovation and entrepreneurship, involving 18 Italian regions through 17 Start Cups. The PNI aims to spread entrepreneurial culture among students, graduates, and researchers and to strengthen ties between the worlds of research, business, and finance. The innovative start-up projects that win the regional Start Cups participate in the National Innovation Award (PNI).
