President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, received the winners of the 2026 "Leonardo Prize" at the Quirinale.
The Head of State emphasized "the significance of this gathering" which is "a gesture of gratitude for the work that so many key figures in our country do; individuals who are the backbone of the country’s economic, social, and cultural life."
“The 2026 Leonardo Qualità Italia Award is a tribute to a journey spanning over 40 years. It recognizes the quality of the work done and looks to the future with optimism and positivity. In these times of growing uncertainty in the international landscape, we entrepreneurs must broaden our horizons by expanding our skills, especially our digital skills. We must be proud of our Italian model, because ‘Made in Italy’ technology - as we’ve been demonstrating for years - is a benchmark for the entire world,” commented Alberto Tripi, founder and president of Almaviva.
“We’re proud of this recognition, which comes at a time of significant growth and evolution for the group. Almaviva is increasingly establishing itself as a global ICT company and a prime example of ‘Made in Italy’ expertise making its mark worldwide, with more than 50% of its revenue coming from international operations. We’re making artificial intelligence a core asset across all the various businesses in which we operate, providing concrete solutions to one of the most important issues of the present and the future: data sovereignty,” said CEO Marco Tripi.
