15-06-2022

The installation and commissioning phase of the MANN National Archaeological Museum of Naples’ environmental monitoring system concluded yesterday in the presence of Museum Director Paolo Giulierini and Luciano Ragazzi, Director of the Campania Region’s SIC Execution-Move to Cloud – Digital Ecosystem. Another step in the Campania Region’s ambitious Digital Ecosystem for Culture project.

The project, carried out in total synergy between the Campania Region, MANN, and AlmavivA Group, involves an innovative IoT monitoring system of the museum’s rooms, with over 50 precision devices that, on the one hand, detect temperature, humidity, CO2, and brightness to ensure the proper preservation of the artwork, and, on the other, cross-reference the attendance data, detected using next generation devices that are based on computer vision. All of the data is collected on the regional cloud systems and is accessible via specific dashboards on the Campania Region’s i.Ter platform.
