At the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona, Rome was recognized as one of the leading cities driving public innovation worldwide.

The award highlights the Traffic Control Center, developed in collaboration with Almaviva, which uses real-time data to make mobility smarter and more efficient.

"Being part of Rome's innovation ecosystem is a great honor. We’re helping to build a city that’s more connected, efficient, and closer to its residents," said Smeraldo Fiorentini, Deputy CEO of Almaviva.

The Almaviva Group was one of the featured companies in Roma Capitale’s exhibition space, showcasing its Moova solutions and projects supporting the digitalization of the services offered by the city of Rome to its residents: Georoma, the city's geoportal for managing geographic and territorial data; the Smart Road,for testing C-ITS services in urban areas; MaaS, which integrates collective transport with alternative mobility solutions; and the Command & Control Room, the platform for real-time management of traffic events.
