"Managing natural risks requires a shift in paradigm: moving from fragmented projects to an integrated system of prevention, monitoring, and emergency response."
These were the words of Franco Masenello, CEO of Almaviva Bluebit, in an interview with ANSA during the round table entitled "Hydrogeological Instability: From the Niscemi Case to a National Risk Prevention Strategy", promoted by the Almaviva Group as part of the National Day on "Energy Transition, Water Resources, and the Circular Economy" and organized by TASK FORCE ITALIA at the CEOforLIFE ClubHouse Montecitorio interview, Rome.
"The goal is to build an interoperable infrastructure that continuously collects information from the territory, making it available to all levels of public administration, from central government to regional and municipal authorities.
A system that goes beyond preventive monitoring, ultimately supporting emergency management through predictive models and tools capable of planning rapid interventions, including assisting affected people, providing financial compensation, and ensuring production continuity.
According to Masenello, "Digitalization represents a tangible opportunity to reduce the economic impact of natural disasters, which cause billions of euros in direct and indirect damage every year.
Achieving this objective requires stronger collaboration between institutions, large technology companies, and the industrial sector, aimed at building a national infrastructure capable of transforming data into a tool for prevention and resilience. A call for shared responsibility."
