Antonio Amati, General Manager of the IT Division, interviewed by Simona Rossitto in DigitEconomy.24 (report of Sole 24 Ore Radiocor and the Luiss Business School) describes the new businesses which the company is focusing on. Starting with an acceleration in cloud technology.

You’ve won the Consip tender for the migration of municipal and public administration services to the cloud, with Amazon Web Services and Engineering. How does this fit with the future creation of a national strategic hub that will manage the PA’s national cloud ?

“The first part of the Consip Cloud IaaS and PaaS framework agreement is a tool which is already active and agile, with a potential capacity to invest €702 million over a period of 5 years. It allows administrations, both large and small, to quickly and easily activate migration initiatives through a list of infrastructural elements prepared by Consip. The agreement is a concrete tool, that’s already employed and easy-to-use, and which is part of the PA’s broader digitalization plan, which also includes the creation of the PSN. These are complementary pathways, that have the technological evolution of public administration for the benefit of citizens and businesses in common, in order to guarantee the safety and quality of services,” says Amati.
