“Digital technology is a strategic lever for optimizing the water sector. It can only fully realize its potential within a sustainable economic framework. The momentum generated by the NRRP must now evolve into a structural management model that recognizes water as a key asset for the economy, the agricultural sector, and national security. “From this perspective, the post-NRRP phase will not merely be a period of new investments, but one in which we’ll build an integrated digital governance framework for water resources, capable of connecting infrastructure, data, and public policies.”

Deputy CEO Antonio Amati emphasized this point during his speech this morning at the closing event of the 7th edition of the Community Valore Acqua. The think tank, of which the Almaviva Group is a member, is promoted by The European House Ambrosetti with the objective of engaging the various stakeholders in the extended water sector and key Italian and European institutions in a spirit of constructive and ongoing dialogue.

“The technologies are ready,” stated Amati. “They integrate sensors and satellite data, enabling predictive and high-precision monitoring. Where Almaviva has already implemented them, they’ve produced significant and measurable results. Today, a shift in paradigm is needed. We must move from isolated interventions to an ecosystem-based strategy founded on collaboration, interoperability, and data governance. It is from within this systemic framework that the country's water resilience will be determined.”
