The Deputy Commander General of the Italian Coast Guard, Admiral Sergio Liardo, visited the Italy Pavilion in Osaka for the presentational conference of the Coast Guard Global Summit, to be held in Rome on September 11th and 12th.

During his visit, the Admiral had a chance to experience the immersive 3D Virtual tour of the Italy Pavilion, wearing the VR headsets provided by Almaviva, a partner of the Coast Guard for over 35 years.

With customizable avatars, visitors can interact virtually with the pavilion’s most striking areas, immersing themselves in the potential of the metaverse, which is not merely a copy of the physical visitor experience, but rather a complementary and alternative perspective, opening the doors to the beauty of Italy’s cultural heritage even from afar.

Coinciding with the visit, Esquire Japan, the Japanese edition of the international fashion and culture magazine, named the Italy Pavilion, of which Almaviva is a partner, "the Number 1 most inspiring of the high culture pavilions", praising its artistic, architectural, and sensory excellence. The Italy Pavilion offers "a full-spectrum experience" in which art, food, music, architecture, and technology come together harmoniously, making a strong emotional impact.
