“Artificial intelligence isn’t just the automation of repetitive tasks. It profoundly transforms cognitive work and the way value is created and distributed. The real challenge for Italy and Europe is sovereignty of skills: not just in implementing technologies produced abroad, but in guiding their development.”

These were the words of Valeria Sandei, CEO of Almawave, during the panel discussion "Beyond the Present: Scenarios, Skills, and Innovation for Changing Work" at the event "AI and Work: Governing Transformation, Multiplying Opportunities", organized in Rome by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies, in collaboration with INPS and INAIL, the National Institute for Insurance against Accidents at Work.

A day of discussion at the European and international level, which opened with a speech by the Minister of Labor, Marina Calderone, and was attended by institutions, companies, and scholars for the purpose of sharing visions, strategies, and experiences and promoting an open dialogue regarding the opportunities and responsibilities that artificial intelligence brings with it.

One of the objectives was to outline a path that places people at the center of innovation, strengthening protections and creating opportunities for growth.
