Iteris has been awarded a contract to support vehicular traffic management operations in District 7 of Tampa Bay, Florida, United States. The new five-year agreement, worth $31 million, reinforces the company’s longstanding role in supporting traffic operations throughout the region. The investment also promotes the government’s strategic focus on safety and mobility, with an emphasis on the system’s reliability.

To secure the contract, Iteris partnered with Lucent Group Inc. to provide a fully integrated suite of operational services for the Real-Time Traffic Management Center (RTMC), including comprehensive 24/7 management every day of the year. The services offered include: operational supervision and management of highways, dedicated lanes, and major roadways, including management of corridors. Road accidents will be monitored, and IT services will be implemented to resolve issues and support transportation management technologies.

The project will provide support to 12 jurisdictions in the region, including seven major cities and five counties.
