The ReActive Hackathon challenge kicks off today, in partnership with the Unipol Group and organized by Codemotion.
Over the next four weeks, participants, with the support of mentors, will compete to find creative and effective solutions for modernizing legacy software.
Luigi Zanardi, Head of Omnichannel Automation & IT Architecture for Unipol Group:
“In the context of historic change, accelerated by the adoption of GenAI, partnering with the ReActive Hackathon seemed to us an excellent opportunity to collaborate with the large tech community on new technological and methodological solutions which redesign and improve the processes already in use in the finance and insurance industry. Modernization processes for legacy software, undertaken with the combined use of human skills and GenAI, undoubtedly represent a field that must be explored carefully, both for the qualitative/quantitative value they can have in the recovery of code knowledge and for the generation of new, more robust and optimized code. Unipol is already working on the GenAI-driven evolution of the entire SW (SDLC) and is looking forward to being wowed by young developers.”
Andrea Bei, Head of Digital Services for ReActive:
“Promoting a challenge with the intention of finding creative and effective solutions for modernizing legacy software, means leveraging know-how and inventiveness in one of the most competitive fields for the finance and insurance industry. We at ReActive were the first to put our years of experience and expertise to the test by developing a strategic innovation project aimed at modernizing legacy software through GenAI. Having the Unipol Group as a partner of the Hackathon strengthens our confidence in the process we have begun and in the solutions we are proposing to a market that is increasingly moving towards new horizons of service efficiency, innovation, and personalization.”
