Almaviva, an Italian tech group with a global presence, has strengthened its presence in Veneto and across Northeastern Italy, where it has long supported local public administration and businesses in their journey toward a sustainable digital transformation.
“The Group has established itself as a reliable and strategic technological partner for local public administrations and businesses in the area. The expansion of the group’s activities and workforce in the Veneto region,” said Marco Tripi, CEO of Almaviva Group, “has turned the Padua branch, a longstanding center of excellence in the finance sector, into an important digital player in strategic areas like healthcare, mobility, the environment, and water resource management, thanks to the efforts of the Almaviva parent company and its affiliates: ReActive, Almawave, and Almaviva Bluebit.”
The decision to open a new branch in Padua further strengthens the company’s presence in the region. The Net Tower, an iconic red skyscraper in the business complex on the outskirts of East Padua, has been chosen for the new offices. Redeveloped by Progressio Management Advisory (which operates at the Net Center on behalf of investor and parent company H2C S.p.A.), the building stands out for its energy efficiency and high certification standards.
Collaborations with local organizations such as the Fondazione Cortina, the Fondazione Venezia Capitale Mondiale della Sostanibilità, the SMACT competence center have further solidified Almaviva’s role as a strategic partner in innovation, sustainability, and responsible governance, contributing to the development of solutions that serve both residents and the region.
Almaviva is currently working with the Veneto Region as a key partner in application portfolio management and is leading the development of the Veneto Data Platform, an intelligent platform designed to integrate regional public administration data.
In the healthcare sector, Almaviva has developed the Regional Health Prevention System (SRPS) in Veneto, an innovative project aimed at preventing environmental and climate-related risks. The company has also taken on the management of the 118 emergency line and the territorial emergency services, contributing to the modernization of the region’s healthcare infrastructure.
In the mobility sector, the MaaS (Mobility as a Service) system is currently being tested on some routes in the Veneto region. Through dedicated apps, users will be able to plan, book, and pay for multiple modes of transportation, both public and private, within a single digital platform. This marks a significant step towards more sustainable, integrated, and user-friendly mobility.
Almaviva BlueBit, with strong roots in the region, focuses on the management of water and sewer networks using multi-system and satellite-based technologies. It supports both Italian and international water utilities by offering solutions for leak detection and the digitization of irrigation networks. These efforts are also backed by Almawave’s Smart Water Management System (SWMS), a platform that provides decision support and enables smart, and data-driven management of the integrated water service.
Growth in the Veneto region has also allowed Almaviva to expand its territorial presence into the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano, Friuli Venezia Giulia, and, in 2024, Emilia-Romagna, where the company secured the contract for the Development and Application Services Framework, further strengthening its position as a leading regional partner for digitalization and innovation projects.
