Expo 2025 Osaka - the Virtual Italy Pavilion Is Now Open

18-06-2025

The Virtual Italy Pavilion is now online, offering everyone an opportunity to remotely visit the space set up at Expo 2025 Osaka through an immersive digital experience based on VR and 3D technology.

The project, developed by Almaviva and EY, sponsors of the Italy Pavilion, is a tangible example of how technology can serve as a tool for accessibility and inclusion, helping to promote the Italian system and share its culture and values with a global audience.

“Starting today, the Italy Pavilion can also be visited online thanks to the Virtual Italy Pavilion,” said Mario Vattani, Commissioner General for Italy at Expo 2025. “Digital tools enhance, without replacing, the in-person visitor experience, allowing even those who cannot travel to Japan to discover the main works of art and innovations we are showcasing at Expo 2025 Osaka and to participate in the events we host daily inside the Italy Pavilion.”

“Digital innovation grants access to beauty, transcends physical boundaries, and strengthens the narrative of an Italy that is creative, visionary, and timeless, capable of uniting tradition and the future through the universal language of technology,” commented Antonio Amati, Deputy CEO of Almaviva’s IT Division. “Digital technology and immersive realities offer a new way to share Italian genius with the world, making Italian art, culture, and industrial and manufacturing know-how accessible to a global audience.”
