National security is taking on a strategic dimension that goes beyond traditional defense and includes protecting critical, digital security, preparation of leadership, and cognitive sovereignty.
It is precisely in response to these challenges that the CESN - Council for National Security Education - has been established, created under the framework agreement for scientific, educational, and training collaboration signed between the Aises Foundation - Spes Academy and the CNR. Its goal is to promote a shared culture of security, strengthening the country's resilience in the face of global and local threats.
CESN aims to spread awareness of emerging risks, promote education as a pillar of national security, and support the development of strategic skills at both the institutional and societal levels. The council is chaired by Bruno Frattasi, General Manager of the National Cybersecurity Agency, with Valerio De Luca serving as Secretary General. Its members include distinguished individuals from the industrial, financial, academic, and institutional fields: Alberto Tripi, President of Almaviva; Flavio Cattaneo, CEO of Enel; Claudio Descalzi, CEO of Eni; Gianni Letta, President of Associazione Civita; Giampiero Massolo, President of Mundys; Pietro Labriola, CEO of Tim; Nicola Monti, CEO of Edison; Pier Carlo Padoan, President of UniCredit; Antonio Parenti, Director for Public Health, Cancer and Human Security, European Commission; Claudia Parzani, President of Borsa Italiana; Fabio Pinelli, Vice-President of the CSM; Paolo Savona, President of Consob; Dario Scannapieco, CEO of Cdp; Maurizio Sella, President of Banca Sella; and Luciano Violante, President of Multiversity.
