Agreement signed for the creation of a new school in Esanatoglia: AlmavivA Group among the backers

The day after the earthquake of 24th August 2016, and in the context of the more general agreement between Confindustria and trade union organisations, the companies in the AlmavivA Group - subsidiaries AlmavivA Contact, Almawave, PerVoice and Lombardia Gestione, alongside the parent company - took action by promoting two fundraising collections amongst employees and directly contributing with a donation matching the amount raised. In addition to providing emergency aid, the funds were intended as a contribution towards the fulfilment of an education project aimed at restoring a sense of calm to the people and areas affected by the recurrent seismic activity of 2016.

The progressive determining of priorities by the Italian Ministry of Universities and Research (MIUR) throughout 2017 has led to assistance being provided for one of the most severely damaged communities in the inland area of the Marche region: a new lower secondary school, “Carlo Alberto Dalla Chiesa”, is to be built in the municipality of Esanatoglia. The AlmavivA Group is working alongside the commissioning body and executor of the project, the Confederazione Nazionale delle Misericordie d’Italia (Italian National Confederation of Mercy voluntary organisation). Co-financiers include Afidamp, Hitachi, Ipsseoa Costaggini and the University of Padova.

This will be the sixth school that the Confederazione Nazionale delle Misericordie d’Italia has built in the region affected by the quakes. The building will cover an area of approximately 400 square metres on a single floor and will accommodate up to 60 pupils, plus teachers and service personnel. The building - fully quake-proof - will support educational activities on a learning journey lasting several years for each student. The total cost of the building will be €387,574.
