The Social Responsibility System Certificate
For a long time now AlmavivA has been sensitive to the issue of its Social Responsibility, also in consequence of its role and responsibilities towards the economic and social communities. Therefore, in February 2006, the Group issued a Code of Conduct applicable to its corporate governance bodies, management and employees of all the companies.
In particular, the company has focused its efforts on the application of the SA-Social Responsibility 8000 international standard, which is applied by over 1,000 companies worldwide (38% of which are Italian), the aim of which is to improve the working conditions of the world population.
Application of this standard entails the obligation, for the enterprise, to adopt a socially responsible behavior towards all its stakeholders (shareholders, financial institutions, suppliers, customers, employees) and to introduce and maintain a Social Responsibility Management System allowing employees to report any unusual events and grievances and to suggest improvements.

The commitment undertaken by the company is to comply with all the SA 8000:2001 requirements, as well as the domestic laws and other applicable regulations, to circulate the SA 8000 values among its employees, suppliers and customers, guaranteeing the constant monitoring and improvement of its Social Responsibility Management System.
In connection with this commitment, from 16 to 20 April 2007, a team of the DNV- Det Norske Veritas certification body carried out a successful audit leading to the SA 8000 certification application by AlmavivA spa to SAI, the international certification body.
The certificate issued, valid until 2010 and the effectiveness of which is subject to six-monthly inspections, attests that AlmavivA’s Social Responsibility Management System conforms to the SA 8000: 2001 standard.
