The conference on "Cyberweapons and the decision-making process" will be held in Rome, on 8 November 2012, at the Aula Magna of La Sapienza University.

The conference on "Cyberweapons and the decision-making process" will be held in Rome, on 8 November 2012, at the Aula Magna of La Sapienza University. 

This is the third of a series of annual conferences on info-warfare and its implications for the country's security. 

The conference has two key objectives: 

• To further our knowledge of offensive and defensive cyber-weapons, their evolution, the problems they create for the decision-making process in the field of homeland security and the private sector. 
• To bring together experts and analysts, from civil and military organizations, the economic and financial sectors, Universities and scientific research centers, to contribute ideas and proposals relating to: 
  - the development of a nationwide cyber-security strategy 
  - the introduction of organizational innovations in the field of homeland security, with a view to strengthening the capacity to prevent and counter cyber-warfare against the vital interests of our country. 

The CIO of AlmavivA, Roberto Saracino, will be speaking at 4 pm, at the session on “Cyber-weapons and offensive Business Intelligence" on the issue of "Operational systems and models for supporting an Information Security Agency".
