Agea wins the Forum PA Premio ValorePA Award.
This year, the Premio ValorePA Award, dedicated to government agencies and departments for outstanding achievements in creating value for citizens and businesses, was granted by the Forum PA jury, in agreement with the Ministry for Public Function, Mr. Mario Baccini, to Agea - Agenzia delle Erogazioni in Agricoltura, the Italian Rural Payments Agency, at the event's closing conference. In the words of Mochi Sismondi, the Director of the Forum PA: "This Award highlights several paradigmatic and significant cases, which can set a good example, something to be imitated and which can help restore trust and confidence in the institutions of government".
This public acknowledgement granted to Agea confirms the Finsiel group's 20-year long commitment to Italian agriculture, through the development and management of the National Agricultural Information System SIAN, which:
- pays out over 6 bn euros per year in farm income support benefits
- manages 2,000,000 farms
- features 5,000 peripheral nodes connected to the system via the Web
- has entered into agreement protocols with central and local government (Land Management Agency, Chambers of Commerce, Ministry of the Interior, Ministry of Health, Central Statistics Office, regional governments, Foreign Trade Institute) for exchanging data and services
- and has set up 3,000 front offices (at central, regional and provincial government level, Farming Assistance Centers, Associations, Forestry Police, local authorities, nature reserves ...).
