You can't buy blood or make it in a laboratory. It can only be donated.

Giving blood is a voluntary act that costs nothing; it's a public duty, a concrete expression of solidarity towards others, stressing the value of life, overcoming the barriers of gender, race, religion or ideology, and represents one of the few instances of true preventive medicine. Giving blood requires little personal effort but helps to save the lives of many.

For years, the AlmavivA Group has been at the forefront promoting this act of solidarity that involves everyone by way of a great collective force, that of the many people who ensure medicine and care is provided to those affected by serious illness.

Every year in Rome, there is a shortage of 30,000 donors and this scarcity of blood is particularly acute during the summer, when donation levels are substantially lower but the need for blood remains unchanged.

Today, alongside the group of company donors at the Bambino Gesù Paediatric Hospital is the Italian Red Cross (CRI). AlmavivA is welcoming this collaboration with a day dedicated to giving blood at the office in the Casal Boccone area of Rome.
