2022 was another challenging year for the financial services industry, in Italy and throughout Europe, but the reaction was industrious and characterized by accelerated innovation aimed at generating new business opportunities. Within this context, while consumers have shown a growing inclination for the use of new tools, banks and industry operators have doubled down on their efforts to digitalize supply chains, at the same time optimizing internal processes and cost-to-revenue ratios.

Active participation in the working groups and workshops organized by the university throughout the year provided ReActive teams with the opportunity to apply the study’s insights to trends that are innovating the sector: from buy-now-pay-later to the launch of projects in the field of digital wallets and digital identity on a European scale, and from the development of the open API paradigm to the spread of new payment systems, including CBDCs and cryptocurrencies.

Furthermore, these meetings provided an opportunity for the numerous financial operators and institutions present to share and discuss developments, allowing innovation to transition from theory to reality, which is what ReActive has always done, with projects focused on transforming the financial services market.
