Helping young people acquire new skills and guiding them toward the professions of the future: Almaviva confirmed its commitment with ELIS during an event held at the Ministry of Education and Merit which promoted a school system that allows students to approach employment through dialogue with companies.
Students, teachers, institutions, and business professionals gathered yesterday in Aldo Moro Hall on Viale Trastevere for an event dedicated to “Collaboration Between Institutions and Businesses for the Orientation of New and Future Generations”. A celebration of the connection between schools and enterprise, with students from all over Italy presenting symbolic awards to the companies participating in, and continuing to support, ELIS’s various programs.
Almaviva was among these companies, participating in the project with ten role models capable of inspiring an open and innovative cultural model, as well as in the celebratory day with Marina Irace, Director of Group People Management, and Maria Spira, one of the ten Almaviva professionals who volunteered to share their experiences and talk about new opportunities in the job market.
“There’s a narrative out there that portrays schools as struggling, young people as disengaged, and education as disconnected from the world of employment,” commented Pietro Cum, CEO ELIS. “And then there’s us: institutions, companies, teachers, and students, coming together to show that another, beautiful and attainable, vision of education is possible, one that’s inclusive and creates life paths, nurturing young people’s natural drive for greatness.”
“We’re working to adapt education to the skills that companies are looking for,” said Mario Comba, Legal Advisor to Minister Valditara. “But the real focus and starting point for us will always be the students and their potential. We are committed to helping each of them identify and develop their talents through personalized pathways.”
The ELIS School-Business System brings together initiatives and services aimed at stimulating and strengthening the relationship between the world of education and the world of employment. It is made up of 70 companies, 415 professionals, 470 educational institutions, and more than 61,000 students involved in training, work, and career orientation activities.
