The 7th General Assembly of the European research project “TEADAL - Trustworthy, Energy-Aware federated DAta Lakes along the computing continuum” (Call HORIZON-CL4-2021-DATA-01), which took place from May 27 to 28 at the Politecnico di Milano, has come to a close.

As a project partner, Almaviva is working alongside the consortium to test and develop innovative technologies with the goal of creating a trustworthy federation of data lakes that extends across the cloud-edge continuum and the multi-cloud, enabling optimized sharing of data and computational resources. Privacy, confidentiality, and trust are of particularly important issues, with Almaviva directly involved in blockchain-based technologies and data-lake monitoring.

The two-day assembly focused on the completion of the platform’s technical aspects and on its integration with the TEADAL “tools” developed by technological partners and the project’s pilot cases.

With regard to the two Italian pilot cases, led by the Tuscany Region and AMTS, Almaviva not only supported the integration process, but also created dashboards tailored to the respective use cases. Another topic addressed by the consortium was the final validation of the project results, a particularly important phase led by Almaviva, in which the consortium partners must work together to define the strategies and methodologies for testing the developed technologies according to the established performance indicators (KPIs).
