Tomorrow SMAU returns to Naples – Italy’s third highest ranking city for investment in the 2014-2020 programming period. The figure is around 1 billion Euros for research and innovation, the Digital Agenda and competitiveness – this in a region with an increasingly dynamic ecosystem made up of research centers, universities, high-tech business clusters, incubators, accelerators, startups and spinoffs capable of generating virtuous processes of knowledge transfer to the business world.

The two days of SMAU will include workshops led by digital technology experts such as Vittorio Arenella of AlmavivA, who has been invited by the Region Campania to present the Campania Cultura IoT system. This is the first cultural heritage digital ecosystem created in Italy, aimed at enhancing and developing the Region’s extensive cultural heritage embracing archaeological, archival, bibliographic, film, musical, historical, artistic and theatrical disciplines.
