Almaviva is a partner of the 14th edition of the Festival of Diplomacy, kicking off tomorrow in Rome, a city in which a large international community operates and interacts on a daily basis with residents and local institutions, constantly engaging with the city’s economic, organizational, and cultural framework. The city is a hub for diplomatic relations with 139 embassies accredited to the Italian Republic, 78 to the Holy See, 134 to the FAO, and 73 to San Marino. Additionally, there is a rich network of international organizations, universities, academies, and foreign cultural institutes that further reinforce Rome's status as the world's leading international city.

For nine days, the festival will be a forum for discussions that focus on the value of innovation and on the reliability of those who gather, analyze, and use the vast quantity of sensitive data that is put into circulation daily on the internet. There will also be debate regarding the shift in paradigm from the Internet of Things to the Internet of People, which, if mismanaged, risks turning cyberspace into a huge regulatory and legal black hole. The festival’s objective is to bring the focus back to the individual and his/her fundamental rights, at a time when Europe and national governments are pushing heavily for the adoption of entirely new behaviors driven by technological advancements. It is important to proceed with confidence, recognizing that the economic and environmental sustainability of our future is also depends on the development of new skills and on retraining the global workforce, institutions, companies, and communities around the world.

Tomorrow, Almaviva will be present for two discussions. From 2pm to 6pm, at LUISS Guido Carli University, CISO Roger Cataldi, alongside Amalia Panella (Head of Group Human Resources), will participate in the “Road Show: Cybersecurity 5.0 Career Day”. Then, from 7pm to 9pm, R&D Manager Valerio Aquè will take part in the "African Digital Skills in Agriculture 4.0" event at the South African Ambassador's Residence.
