With the launch of the AI Continent Action Plan, the European Union positions itself as a global player in the artificial intelligence field, ready to compete with American and Chinese tech giants, but with a different approach based on clear rules and transparency.
Today in Corriere della Sera's Innovazione, journalist Alessia Cruciani explores the European AI Plan, featuring insights from Valeria Sandei, CEO of Almawave, who spoke at the launch of the AI Continent Action Plan. “It was a valuable opportunity to gather ideas and perspectives. Like any plan, it has an implementation timeline that will unfold over the coming quarters.”
Sandei stresses the importance of skills “which must increasingly become a core part of the industrial ecosystem. We need to create a continuous flow, from universities to industrial production, leading, ultimately, to the ability to compete in the market.”
According to Sandei, the key to the plan’s success lies in "finding a uniquely European path, one based on scientific innovation, that adapts to the real needs and opportunities of the market and operates along this trajectory. A Made in Europe AI must be designed to solve the tangible needs of the identified businesses and sectors. It must be designed for the future.”
