The Evolution of Sustainable Road Mobility: Almaviva at the Presentational Event of the MOST - National Center for Sustainable Mobility - SUNRISE Observatory

The MOST (National Center for Sustainable Mobility) SUNRISE Observatory was presented yesterday in Rome at the headquarters of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti.

This new project - in which Almaviva, Autostrade per l'Italia, CDP, Eni, Iveco Group, and Fondazione Filippo Caracciolo are involved - aims to make road transport more sustainable, monitor its developments, and provide concrete tools for strategic decision-making, thus supporting the sector in its decarbonization and energy transition.

“Making infrastructure digital and smart is no longer just a virtue. It’s a necessity! Decarbonization alone isn’t enough to meet the EU’s ambitious 2050 Green Deal targets. Smart infrastructure is giving rise to new mobility models. Italian technology is ready, but we need to accelerate in order maintain our competitive edge,” said Dario Ferrillo, Director of the Transport Infrastructure & Logistics Business Unit, during the Observatory’s presentational event: The Evolution of Sustainable Road Mobility.

The meeting provided an opportunity for experts, institutions, and companies to analyze mobility demands, assess environmental impacts, and explore the potential of emerging technologies.
