RemTech Expo 2025, the Environmental Technology Hub specializing in the topics of remediation, regeneration, and the sustainable development of territories, has just concluded. Numerous meetings were held at the Almaviva exhibition space, conducted by experts who presented the group’s solutions for the environment.
"Droughts and floods are no longer atypical events, but rather recurring phenomena that now characterize our climatic reality," explained Fulvio Conti, Director of Customer Project Management at Almaviva, speaking on the "Territories and Monitoring" panel. “We must move beyond the culture of emergencies and after-the-fact interventions. What we need are structural strategies that integrate climate variability into ordinary planning, strategies that not only focus on IT, but also push to expand the supply chain to include hydraulic modeling, data analysis, and decision support systems. An eco-systemic vision, in which a smart and distributed network connects data, people, and water resources: the Internet of Water, as important as energy, mobility, and communications.”
Speaking on behalf of Almaviva Bluebit, CEO Franco Masenello emphasized that "today, water resource management isn’t just about technology, but about a systemic vision: smart networks, big data, digital solutions, and the ability to understand the needs of territories and communities. Only then can water truly become a shared resource and a driver of development for future generations." Paolo Ridella, the company's Technical Sales Director, added that "water management in Italy is a challenge of foresight and responsibility. Digitalization is the key strategic lever that can revolutionize the efficiency of irrigation networks and transform data into informed decisions. Investing in human capital and digital technologies means moving from an emergency-driven approach to a model based on prevention and resource enhancement, turning water into the fulcrum of a new alliance between innovation, sustainability, and growth."
