Change the Way You See Disability: Attend the Events of Disability Pride Italia

16-09-2025

Disability Pride Italia celebrates ten years of initiatives and a cultural movement that gives voice to people with disabilities, a voice that exists but lacks adequate space and visibility.

The goal of all Disability Pride Italia activities throughout the year is to promote a culture of acceptance, inclusion, and respect for diversity through educational conferences, barrier-free hikes, parades, legislative proposals, and more.

On Saturday, September 20th, Rome will host the main event of the Disability Pride Italia program, which will be announced at two press conferences: today at 4 pm in the Parliament Conference Room and tomorrow at 10 am in the Laudato Hall of the Palazzo Senatorio in Campidoglio. The speeches will feature real-time subtitling, made possible by Almaviva’s technologies and domain expertise.

Participating in Disability Pride events means standing up for a society in which everyone can live with equal dignity and opportunity.

  • Saturday, September 20th in Rome, the Disability Village in Piazza del Popolo will be open from 10 am to 8 pm, with the historic parade departing from Piazza Santi Apostoli at 4 pm.
  • Visit Disability Pride Italia's social channels to see the full program of events taking place in Palermo (September 20-21), Genoa and Florence (September 27), Bologna (September 28), Taranto (October 4), and Orvieto (October 25).
