The automotive and mobility sector is undergoing a profound transformation: on the one hand, the phasing out of diesel and gasoline engines by 2035 will have an impact not only on the industry, but also on consumers; and on the other hand, the proliferation of new strategies and business models based on data collected from connected vehicles and infrastructures is paving the way for the creation of digital roads.

Smart Mobility is becoming a reality, thanks to the projects and opportunities provided for in the NRRP and the numerous experiments currently underway, for which Italy ranks number one in Europe in terms of the number of initiatives launched.

These themes will be the focus of the “Connected Car & Mobility Conference: From Great Powers, Come Great Responsibilities” organized by the Connected Car & Mobility Observatory of the Politecnico di Milano. The event is scheduled to take place on May 26th in Milan.

“The challenge is to transform data into useful information so as to improve safety and make mobility increasingly sustainable and resilient.” These are the words with which Dario Ferrillo, Head of Digital Innovation & Sustainability at Almaviva, introduced his talk during the panel discussion entitled “The Evolution of V2X Technologies”.
