The new version of veneto.eu was officially presented on October 8th at TTG in Rimini.

“A completely redesigned platform offering Italian and international visitors a simple, accessible, and engaging digital experience that showcases the richness and variety of one of Europe’s most popular tourist destinations.”

“This achievement was made possible thanks to the valuable work carried out by Almaviva, the project’s developer, which brought to life the needs identified by the Tourism and Territorial Marketing Department and the ICT and Digital Agenda Department of the Veneto Region. I thank them for their commitment and collaboration, without which this important milestone wouldn’t have been possible. I also thank the Ministry of Tourism for its valuable support and contribution to the project, as part of the national strategy for the digitalization of tourism.”

“With this restyling, Veneto takes a further step forward in positioning itself as a leading tourism destination, also at the digital level.” These were the words of Federico Caner, Regional Councilor for Tourism, commenting on the new veneto.eu portal, which represents an evolution of the previous website from a simple editorial platform to an institutional, interoperable, and scalable digital hub, aligned with national and European standards for digital tourism.

The new portal is configured as both a landing and starting point, collecting and enhancing inputs from local destinations (OGD/DMO) in line with regional and national strategic guidelines. Its goal is to promote a coherent and integrated image of the region, highlighting the diversity of Veneto’s destinations - from Venice to the Dolomites, from the Palladian villas to the Adriatic beaches, and from the Prosecco hills to the thousand-year-old thermal baths.

"The launch of the Veneto region’s new tourism portal at TTG marks the conclusion of nearly two years of work, which began with an in-depth analysis of the existing digital tourism ecosystem, carried out by Almaviva alongside the region’s ICT and Tourism departments.
A subsequent call for expressions of interest was launched, which got 18 communication agencies involved in identifying the design best suited to the project’s objectives,” commented Andrea Casadei, SME of Tourism, Culture, and Entertainment at Almaviva.
“In September 2024, development began on all the components of the portal, led by Almaviva's Digital Channels Technology & Solutions team, leading to the result unveiled today."
