Nature, science, and fun. The event organized by the Foliage project to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the Life projects will take place tomorrow, consisting of a 4 km walk in the chestnut groves of Rocca di Papa. The focus will be forest management, the difference in cuts, path maintenance, and technology applied to nature: from the use of drones to fight fires, to remote sensing, to the digitalization of forestry practices.

Almaviva is a technological partner of Foliage, which aims to monitor our forests through the automatic analysis of satellite images, thus identifying forest cuttings and fires. The administrative procedure for requesting forest cuttings has also computerized. Furthermore, the creation of a mobile app allows the forestry police, also partners of the project, to conduct surveys in the field in order to determine the nature of the events that have been identified.
