“The NRRP foresees substantial investments in the digital transformation of the healthcare sector, which are being applied to the implementation of national platforms and the adoption of digital tools by the regions and healthcare authorities. At the same time, the plan foresees specific strategies for the development of technical, professional, and managerial skills among healthcare system personnel. It’s necessary for these two lines of action to proceed in parallel to one another so that the adoption of new digital tools finds medical personnel who are ready and possess the proper level of awareness.” These were the words of Giovanni Di Nardo, Head of Digital Healthcare, in anticipation of the Telemedicine in Outpatient Care Symposium of the Healthcare Wellness and Resilience Observatory, scheduled to take place on October 12th in the Toti Hall of Rome’s Luiss Guido Carli University, during which the results of the first survey regarding telemedicine in outpatient care will be presented.

The survey, conducted with the collaboration of more than 300 healthcare facilities and in conjunction with the Istituto Superiore di Sanità’s National Telemedicine Center and FASDAC, represents the first national study of telemedicine in outpatient care and provides important insights for understanding trends in the provision of telemedicine services and the factors that may hinder their diffusion. In addition to Almaviva, representatives from the following institutions will also be present: the Istituto Superiore di Sanità’s National Center for Telemedicine, FASDAC, Rome’s Sapienza University - Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, the Agostino Gemelli University Polyclinic Foundation IRCCS, and San Raffaele Hospital.
