The 2022 Export Capital Awards were presented to the companies that achieved the best results, according to data certified by the Customs and Monopolies Agency.

“It’s incredibly gratifying to see our Italian technology being used around the world. Almaviva’s solutions can be found in Finnish stations, in the United Kingdom, in Saudi Arabia, and in the United States. In this highly competitive sector, we’ve shown that Made in Italy technology is among the best,” commented Smeraldo Fiorentini, DG of Transportation & Logistics for Almaviva, accepting the award at the ceremony in Milan. “The NRRP offers a great opportunity for digitalization in various sectors, including healthcare, tourism, education, and in the world of transportation and logistics, where we excel.”

“Our group, which achieved nearly €1 billion in turnover in 2021, earns about 30% of that figure abroad. The goal is for that percentage to reach 50% soon, and this award confirms that we’re moving in the right direction.”

“In Italy there’s still a lack of export culture in our sector, but we’ve managed to enter complex markets by creating niche services, which we’re able to implement thanks also to specific training of human resources.”

In 2021 the total value of Italian exports reached a record figure of €516 billion and, in the first half of this year, it surpassed €306 billion.
