Cloud Transformation Observatory

A reference point for digital innovation

The Digital Innovation Observatories of the Politecnico di Milano’s School of Management serve as a reference point for digital innovation not only in Italy, but in the European Union as well.

Almaviva is a partner of the Cloud Transformation Observatory, which aims to generate and share knowledge that helps companies seize the opportunities offered by the Cloud, now a true enabler of digital transformation. In fact, when it comes to digitalizing processes and introducing innovation within companies, the Cloud serves as a model for the use of technologies that are able to reduce costs and time-to-market, making IT more responsive to business needs and to the rapidly changing external environment. In doing so, companies are able to capitalize on the latest emerging trends, such as machine learning, analytics, and IoT, as well as manage their entire patrimony of IT assets in a more agile way.

The Observatory focuses on analyzing the technological tools available and on understanding how to adopt them, identifying opportunities for innovation, and studying the impacts on the information system and IT management, for example in terms of managing the costs of the Cloud and its impact on Green IT. Furthermore, the Observatory aims analyze the primary cloud trends in Europe and worldwide. Ultimately, the Observatory aspires to become a cultural reference point on the topic and to foster the growth and development of a community that bridges the gap between technological supply and demand.
