AlmavivA supports Tunisia in national digitalisation The Italian Group has won two tenders issued by this North African country, confirming its ever stronger presence on the international market.
Rome, 5 August 2014 – AlmavivA has won the tender financed by the United Nations, the Project for the Modernisation of the Tunisia National Constituent Assembly – Web Platform and Business Software Solution. The temporary grouping of companies comprised of AlmavivA, a leading company in the Italian Information & Communications Technology sector, and AlmavivA Tunisie, a company in the AlmavivA Group that offers Customer Relationship Management and Information Technology services for the Tunisian and French markets, will create the portal for Tunisia's National Constituent Assembly (NCA), elected after the Jasmine Revolution of 2011.
The objective is to guarantee transparency in the creation of a multilingual portal, usable for all, with a special focus on access to the country's new constitution, which was recently enacted. The project foresees the modernisation of the ICT infrastructure of the NCA, by creating a web platform (portal and website), which will provide a collaborative and communicative service for the assembly members and the administration.
The platform will also be the main method through which the NCA will provide information about legislative activities to citizens, the media and the various specialists of different nationalities involved in the affairs of the National Constituent Assembly.
The portal must offer content appropriate for and comprehensible to the public and must be accessible in three languages: Arabic, French and English. It will have sections highlighting the latest news and sections for sharing documents, informative notes, and the minutes of plenary sessions and commission meetings. A section dedicated to direct streaming of videos of plenary sessions and commission meetings, as well as video on demand, will complete the project. The platform will be developed so as to ensure it is also accessible via mobile devices and by people with disabilities.
AlmavivA Tunisie has also won the tender issued by the Italian Embassy in Tunisia for managing support services for the consular offices dedicated to issuing entry visas for Italy. The contract extends to 2019 and involves the management of an average of 20,000 files per year. In this way, AlmavivA Tunisie has entered the narrow world of OVS – Outsourcing Visa Services, a sector which has expanded notably over recent years.
The support processes established by AlmavivA Tunisie regard all the stages necessary for visa release: information desk, consular documentation gathering and verification, gathering of biometric data and returning of passports.
Andrea Marzapane, President of AlmavivA Tunisie, states: "The two tenders we have won are recognition of the Group's strategy for developing its presence in Tunisia and in the North-African market in general, by offering innovative services".
