AlmavivA Contact on the Government’s proposal

Rome, 19 December 2016 - AlmavivA Contact has accepted the Government’s willingness to broker a deal, in order to settle the industrial dispute under way, and understands and appreciates its underlying significance. The Management of the Company – based on the binding indications received from the BoD on the business reorganization process under way – will assess the contents of the proposed deal, taking into account the absolute need to ensure business continuity. In particular, the management, also in the light of the Company’s performance figures released in recent months, and officially highlighted at the meeting held at the Ministry for Economic Development, and transmitted to the competent departments, will be unable to accept any deal proposal that fails to envisage the actions and instruments capable of ensuring a financially viable reorganization plan, which can effectively and positively impact the entire corporate perimeter and produce concrete effects starting in January 2017.
Lacking this, and for the reasons thoroughly explained at the meetings and in the documents mentioned above, the Company would be obliged to close down. This is also to ensure the consistent implementation, from a normative point of view, of the proposed tools, as rightly underscored a number of times by the institutions.
