A new Italian IT consortium – called “InItalia” – is established by AlmavivA, Engineering, Elsag Datamat
- AlmavivA, Engineering and Elsag Datamat have set up a new Consortium to research, develop and design IT products and services for large-scale projects worldwide;
- The Consortium is “open” to other companies, universities and research institutions;
- “La Sapienza” University of Rome and the Turin Polytechnic University have already expressed their interest in the project;
- The Chairman of the Consortium, Alberto Tripi, says “It is the contribution by the major Italian industry players to the global competitive challenge”.
Rome, 20 October - AlmavivA, Engineering and Elsag Datamat have decided to establish a Consortium grouping the Italian IT industry, appropriately called “InItalia”.
The announcement was made today by the President of AlmavivA Group, Alberto Tripi, during the “Meeting of the Innovators” held in Venice and attended by the Minister, Renato Brunetta.
The aim of the Consortium is to develop innovatory ICT products and solutions for large-scale projects worldwide.
The hallmark of “InItalia” Consortium is its focus on integrating the experience and know how of the leading Italian-based industry groups.
Besides carrying out studies and technological research in respect of complex systems and software products and technologies, the Consortium also aims to develop far-reaching promotional activities on the international markets.
"InItalia” Consortium, moreover, is open to other Italian companies, as well as universities and research centers, with a view to becoming a tool for aggregating innovation and research for the industry’s SMEs, which are a mine of invaluable know how. “La Sapienza” University of Rome and the Turin Polytechnic University, in fact, have already expressed their interest in entering into a partnership with the Consortium.
The Chairman of the Consortium, and member of the Executive Board, is Alberto Tripi.
The other Executive Board members are: Rosario Amodeo and Paolo Pandozy, Vice Chairman and CEO, respectively, from Engineering; Paolo Aielli e Andrea Campora, CEO and Sales Manager, respectively, from Elsag Datamat; and AlmavivA’s Antonio Amati, General Manager.
